I live and write in Ontario, Canada with my husband, daughter, two cats and a lizard.
My focus is currently on short fiction but I do have a few projects on
the go including an illustrated children's story and a novel. Also
tinkering with a comic. (The children's story and comic are a
collaboration - my drawing abilities are limited.) Basically, I'm always
writing.
I love to read most genres and this extends to my
writing. My main interest is in Fantasy and all its lovely subgenres,
but I enjoy a decent portion of SciFi too. I find myself writing
chick-lit occasionally. Especially since having my daughter.
Interests other than writing:
Reading. Mostly Fantasy (favourites include Neil Gaiman, Diana Wynne Jones, Tad Williams, Peter S. Beagle, J.K. Rowling etc.) but also SciFi, Comics/Manga, Lit... I'll give most things a try.
Gaming.
Particularly JRPGs, Adventure (point-and-click especially), Puzzle, Fighting,
and most things experimental or indie. Some of my favourites include
Portal, The Longest Journey, Persona 4, Myst, Professor Layton and Minecraft.
Movies/tv/anime. Hayao Miyazaki - he has changed my entire life, I swear. Firefly, Doctor Who, Star Trek. Attack on Titan, Darker Than Black, Claymore, Ouran Highschool Host Club. (Strange combination of things, I know)
Science. Biology and Psychology in particular.
Food. I like food.
Nature.
Philosophy.
Etc.
